What are the symptoms of hypermobility? Thank you x
Hey hey🌟 Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome is a family of genetic connective tissue disorders that affect the proteins that hold our tissues together. If someone has this condition, it can cause increased joint flexibility, stretchy skin, and other symptoms due to the body being a bit too flexible - hence it is called being "hypermobile". Due to this, people with EDS may experience joint pain and even dislocations of the joints.
Hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (hEDS) is the most common type of Ehlers-Danlos. It's important to note that hEDS is a complex condition and can vary from person to person so symptoms aren't the same in everyone.
If you suspect you may have hEDS, it's best to speak with a GP who can provide a guidance. Remember there are resources and support available to you! 💪😊
