I feel really unmotivated and am really behind in school work
Please don't to be too hard on yourself 🩷 Once you get the ball rolling and build some momentum it will get easier, promise!
Here are a few tips that might help you get started:
🎯 Set some goals: make sure they are specific and achievable enough so you don't become de-motivated and overwhelmed just thinking about them – if you need help with this, check out how to make a revision timetable.
⭐ Think of some effective rewards: for example, reward yourself with an episode of your favourite TV show once all of your homework is complete
⏰ Time blocking: break up your day into blocks of time and assign tasks to them. Give yourself a set amount of time to do the activity you don’t want to do, then do something you enjoy doing – that might be exercising, baking, reading or taking the dog for a walk. Then, if you haven’t finished the activity you were putting off, come back to it with a fresh head and tackle it again for a set period of time
Hopefully, these tips will help you – just remember not to put too much pressure on yourself and enjoy what you are doing; you are likely to be more motivated to do it then!
If you're struggling with how you're feeling or you're worried about your mental health, please seek some help from a trusted adult like a parent or guardian and if need be, a health professional like your GP or a mental health nurse. They will be able to help you out so please do seek that help if you feel you need it 🌷
