How do I deal if I need to go to change a pad and the teacher won’t let me go and I’m in the middle of class x

👉 If you're comfortable, try having a quiet word with your teacher before or after class to explain that you sometimes need to go to the toilet during lessons for period reasons – most teachers will understand once they know
👉 If you're not ready to talk to the teacher yourself, you could ask a parent or carer to help start that conversation with school
👉 You can also plan ahead when possible by using break times to check and change your pad, just in case
👉 And don’t forget to keep a little kit in your bag – having pads, spare pants, and wipes can help you feel more in control if there’s a delay getting to the toilet
