It’s a paid tier to use the luna app without any restrictions – you’ll be able to access unlimited content, ask and read unlimited questions, play quizzes, access all the new features + more 🎉

Well, basically there will be a way to access luna for free, but in a limited way. Premium means unlimited access to content, questions, quizzes + any new features released.

Yes! If you’ve paid for a yearly subscription you will keep luna premium for a year after activation, but can cancel at any time and still get it for the rest of that time. If you’ve got a monthly subscription, it’ll be the same case but for the month after activation.

You can also cancel a free trial before any payment is taken, so long as you do it before the free trial is up.

You’ll be able to cancel directly from your App Store or Google Play Store, depending on whether you have an iPhone or Android phone, by visiting your subscriptions.

Unlike other period tracking apps, luna has been built only for teens which is reflected in our designs, branding, features and content.

A lot of the info and insights teens are given on other apps are not necessarily tailored to their age group and focus a lot more on symptoms that may not be “normal” for an adult but are, in fact, “normal” for a teen – luna is the only app of its kind to do this.

Plus, as well as tracking, luna also offers advice on all the things teens are faced with on top of periods; whether that’s toxic friendships, social media myths, or mental health struggles. The app is holistic in nature, and has been created with the help of over 250 teen ambassadors, so we know the content is appropriate, important and interesting for their stage in life.

This is a tricky one, and everyone’s situation is different, but here’s some ways you could try convincing your parents:

• Research luna: explain the features and benefits, and be ready to answer any questions they might have about it – if you search “luna’s features” in Learn you get lots of deep dives into how everything works! • Focus on the educational aspect: explain how helpful you’ve found the educational content in Learn, whether that’s topics covering mental health, nutrition, or school work and motivation 🤓

• Talk about empowerment: our mission is to empower teens across the globe and help you all have the happiest and healthiest possible experience. You could explain how luna’s helped you so far, and how it’s changed your experience vs. what it was like for them growing up without luna in hand 🦋

• Long-term benefits: discuss how investing in your wellbeing now can help give you an even brighter future where you’re much more confident, informed and well-rounded as a person 🌱

• Demonstrate responsibility: assure your parents that you’ll use the app regularly so it’ll be worth the money – remember you can come in and log symptoms daily, and new content is also dropped regularly, so it’s not like what you get right now is all you get. There’s new content and features coming all the time 🆕

• Suggest a contribution: offer to contribute to the cost, whether that’s by doing a certain number of chores, or saving up your pocket money. Or ask for it as a birthday or Christmas gift 💸

Yes, you’ll be able to do both on the free version of luna – but there will be limits. So you’ll be able to access information you need – as we won’t limit what you choose to see – but you won’t be able to enjoy and use luna in full without setting up a subscription.
