Growing up comes with a lot of questions – about your body, emotions, friendships, and relationships.
luna is a teen health and wellbeing app that answers those questions!
It’s designed to support young people through it all – like a big sister – in a way that feels age-appropriate, private and supportive.
And for a long time now, teens and parents in the USA have been asking us when luna would be available for them.
So we’re thrilled to finally say: the wait is over.
After thousands of requests and lots of hard work to make it happen, the luna app is now live in the United States.
What is the luna app?
luna combines a teen-friendly period tracker with expert-reviewed content and a private Q&A feature.
Inside the app, teens can:
- Track their periods, moods and symptoms
- Learn about their changing bodies and emotions
- Explore topics like confidence, mental health, relationships and self-care
- Ask anonymous questions and get safe, medically reviewed answers
Everything in luna is designed specifically for teens, without adult features like fertility predictions or social media-style messaging.
Who is luna for?
luna is created for teens aged 13-18 in the United States.
It’s especially helpful for:
- Teens starting or learning about periods
- Young people going through puberty
- Anyone who wants clear, honest guidance about growing up
luna is designed mainly for girls and young people who experience periods (including non-binary teens), but it can be used by anyone in this age range who wants reliable, age-appropriate information.
How luna keeps teens safe and supported
Safety and privacy are built into luna from the start.
- There is no peer-to-peer messaging
- Teens’ data is not sold or shared with advertisers
- All content is reviewed by medical professionals and safeguarding experts
- Questions in the app are anonymous
- luna focuses on education and wellbeing, not promotion
luna is not a crisis service, but when a teen asks something that needs extra support, they are gently signposted to trusted services and adults who can help.
Parents and carers can also create linked accounts if they want to manage subscriptions or learn more, while teens keep their own private space in the app.

How to download luna in the USA
luna is now available to download in the United States on iOS and Android.
If you’re a teen, you can download luna to:
- Learn about your body and emotions
- Track your period and mood (you don’t have to have started your periods yet to make use of luna!)
- Ask questions safely
- Build confidence as you grow up
If you’re a parent, luna can be a supportive tool to help your teen learn independently, with expert-backed information.
luna has a free version, with an optional Premium subscription that unlocks full access to content and tools.
What about under-13s?
Right now, luna is available in the USA for teens aged 13 and over.
We know that many young people start puberty earlier than this, and we’re actively working on a safe and responsible way to support under-13s in the future.
