I’m starting High School after the summer and i’m really nervous. I’m scared because of how massive it is compared to my current school, needing to get to classes on time, and i’m worried about all my friends leaving me. Do you have any tips??
Hey 🌸 So many people feel this way before starting high school – moving to a bigger school with new routines and faces can feel like a lot.
But the nerves you’ve got now often settle once you've had a few weeks to get used to things.
👉 Most schools give you a map or planner, and teachers know you're new – they’ll help you if you're late or lost at first
👉 Lots of people worry about friends drifting, but the truth is everyone is a bit unsure, and there’s a good chance you’ll make new friendships too
👉 Try to be open – sit next to someone new, ask a small question in class, or join something you’re curious about
Even though it feels big and scary now, most people end up loving parts of high school – not just the lessons but the laughs, the new independence, and the memories you’ll build 💫
